Been doing local bass tournaments for about a year now and I'm obsessed. There's something about the early mornings, the competition, and just being on the water that gets me out of my own head. Just placed 3rd last weekend which isn't much money but the high is real. Thinking about joining a league. Does anyone else do this or am I just crazy?
Bass fishing is so addictive. I grew up doing it with my dad and recently got back into it. There's something about being out on the water early in the morning before anyone else is awake that just hits different.
Local tournaments are the way to go. You get the competitive aspect without having to travel crazy distances. Where are you competing mostly?

That's sick. How much time do you actually get to spend on tournaments between work and the kids? I've been thinking about getting into fishing but worried I won't have the time to commit.
I've thought about getting into competitive fishing but never pulled the trigger. Is it expensive to get started with a decent boat and all the gear?
