Got an older Xbox One on Marketplace for like 80 bucks and I'm kind of obsessed. Haven't gamed seriously since college. My buddy said I should try Game Pass and man, the selection is crazy. Been sneaking down to the man cave after the kids go to bed just for an hour or so. Feels good to have something that's just mine again.
That's a steal for eighty bucks. Gaming is a nice way to decompress after the chaos of the day, even if it's just for a bit. Just don't let it become a fight with the family about screen time like everything else.

Dude I'm right there with you. Got back into it a couple years ago and it's been great. Even just 90 minutes after the kids are down is enough to feel like I have my own thing again. Nothing wrong with that.
Man, I work all week so gaming on weekends is literally my way of not losing my mind. My boys actually got into it too now so it's kind of a family thing. Xbox Game Pass is a lifesaver for the money situation.
Just be careful you're not checking out completely, you know? I did that for a while and my ex-wife called me out on it during custody negotiations. Now I try to keep it to specific times so the kids don't feel like I'm just gone.
80 bucks for an Xbox One is a steal. I've got three kids so my solo gaming time is basically nap time, which is like 90 minutes max if I'm lucky. But those 90 minutes? They're mine and I'm not apologizing for it.

Nice find on the marketplace. I get it, sometimes you need something that's just for you. Just maybe set some boundaries so the kids don't try to take over your controller time.
