Anyone else use grilling as an excuse to be alone?

I'll spend 3 hours smoking a brisket when I could literally grill steaks in 15 minutes. My wife finally called me out on it yesterday. Guilty as charged. But the brisket tastes great and I got peace and quiet so really who's winning here.

Dude, I get it. With three kids the grill is basically my sanctuary. Wife caught on to my 'slow cook' tactics too but it's worth every minute.

No shame in that game. I'll take any excuse to get some peace and quiet for a few hours. Three hours of brisket smoking sounds like a solid plan to me.
