Been planning this for 2 years. Want to build a permanent outdoor kitchen area with a grill, smoker, mini bar, and a TV under a covered patio. Space is there, budget is tight. Wife thinks it's excessive but when we host the Super Bowl party I know she'll understand. Anyone done this? Should I hire someone or DIY it?
Two years of dreaming is just about right for planning something like that. My advice: start small, maybe the grill area first, then add the rest when you can. Your kids will love helping build it out piece by piece.
