Took the boys out to the lake last weekend and we actually caught some decent sized bass. My oldest landed a 4 pounder on his own and was so pumped. We were out there for like 5 hours just cruising, no drama, no phones, just fishing. These are the days I want them to remember when they're older.
That's the moment right there. A 4 pounder and him landing it himself - that's the stuff he'll remember forever. Great dad right there.
Nothing beats watching your kid succeed at something on their own. Those are the best fishing trips, honestly.
That's awesome man. There's something special about getting out on the water with your kids. Did your oldest catch anything themselves or were you doing most of the heavy lifting?
