Best grill for a small patio

Space is tight in my backyard, got maybe 4x6 feet to work with. Been using a basic Weber kettle for years but want to upgrade without taking up the whole patio. Looking at some of the compact offset smokers or a quality gas grill. Budget is around 500-700 bucks. Anyone have recommendations for someone with limited space? I want to be able to actually entertain people without them standing in the house.

Tight spaces are tough but totally doable. I'd go with a compact kamado style grill if you want something that heats well and doesn't take up much room. Way more efficient than a kettle for the space you've got.
How often are you actually grilling in a small space like that? That might determine whether it's worth spending on an upgrade or just making the best of what you already have.
