Board game night has become my favorite thing

My wife suggested we start a monthly game night with another couple and honestly it's become the highlight of my month. We rotate between houses and games and last weekend I absolutely demolished everyone at Ticket to Ride. We're talking trash talk, laughs, drinks, the whole thing. Way better than sitting around watching TV. Thinking about getting into more strategic board games. Anyone got recommendations for 4 player games that aren't too complicated but have some depth?
