Caught a 7 Pound Bass This Morning

Woke up at 5am to hit the lake before the kids got up. Sun was just coming up, nobody around, and I pulled in this absolute unit of a bass. Released her back but got some good pictures. Hasn't been fishing all summer with work being crazy. Forgot how much I needed that. Nothing clears your head like being out on the water before the world wakes up.

Seven pounds is solid work man. Those early morning trips are what keep me sane honestly. There's something about being out there alone that just resets everything.

This is the dream right here. Getting out before the chaos of the day starts. I'd love to do this but my schedule with the kids on my weeks makes it tough. Jealous of those peaceful mornings.
