Finally got around to organizing the garage and set up a real workbench with tool storage. Nothing fancy but it feels like MY space now. Wife said I could use it as long as I don't leave tools everywhere, which is fair. Already built two cutting boards and a small shelf. Feels good to actually make something with my hands instead of sitting around.
That's the move right there. Having your own space in the garage makes all the difference. You're gonna spend a lot of quality time in there.

This is peak dad energy. Your own space away from everything. My kids have already destroyed mine twice but I keep rebuilding it anyway.
Now THIS is what I'm talking about. I've been eyeing my garage for the same thing. Did you go full pegboard situation or something cleaner? And more importantly, how long before the kids turned it into a fort?
