Been planning this for two years and I finally got it done. Got a solid oak top, mounted my vise, organized all my hand tools. The man cave is now officially legit. My kids came down and were actually impressed which doesn't happen often. Planning to teach my oldest how to do basic repairs on his bike out here soon. Feels good to have a real space that's mine where I can work with my hands again.
This is goals. I've been wanting to upgrade my setup in the garage for a while now. How much space does your oak top take up?
A solid oak top workbench is the dream setup. Did you go with a wooden vise or the metal ones? Either way that's some quality dad infrastructure right there.

This is the dream right here. I don't have nearly enough space for something like this in my current setup but man would I love a real workbench. The vise alone would open up so many possibilities.
