Finally finished my first woodworking project - a bookshelf for the living room

Been working on this for like 3 months in the garage. My kids kept asking what I was building and I wanted to surprise them. Got it stained and mounted on the wall yesterday. Wife actually seemed impressed which is rare lol. Now I'm already planning my next project. Anyone else get addicted to woodworking after their first build?

That's awesome man, three months of garage time well spent. I bet the kids' faces when they saw it finished were worth every hour. My crew helps me in the garage sometimes now and it's become our thing, so maybe this could be that for you guys.

Nice work getting that done with four kids in the house. Those surprise projects are gold, especially when they actually see you building something real. Staining and mounting it properly too - that's the kind of detail that matters.
