Spent the last 3 months wrapping guides and working on my custom 7ft casting rod. Used some blanks I picked up at the tackle show last year. Took it out on the water yesterday and man does it feel good. Cast is smooth and the action is perfect for the local rivers. Anyone else into building their own gear?
Building your own rod is legit. I've been meaning to try that but between work and the kid I barely have time to fish with the ones I have.
