Finally finished my fishing rod collection display

Spent the last 3 weekends building a wall-mounted display case in the garage for my rods. Wife said it would look 'tacky' but honestly it turned out pretty clean. Used some walnut I had left over from an old project and mounted it right above my workbench. My 8 year old thinks it looks awesome. Anyone else display their gear or am I just being that guy?

Three weekends is a solid investment for something you'll get to look at every time you go out there. How many rods did you end up displaying? That must be a pretty impressive collection.

That's a nice project. Wife probably loves that you consolidated all those rods into one spot instead of having them scattered all over the garage. Plus it keeps them organized and protected which is the important part.
