Finally finished my fishing rod rebuild

Spent the last month rewrapping the guides and refinishing the handle on my old baitcaster. Took some patience but it looks brand new. Can't wait to take it out to the lake next weekend. Anyone else obsessed with maintaining their gear or is it just me?

Nothing beats fishing with gear you actually fixed yourself. That old baitcaster is probably going to catch way more fish now just because of the personal connection.
