Finally finished my garage man cave setup
Spent the last 3 months converting half my garage into a little retreat space. Got a mini fridge, a workbench, some LED lighting, put up my old sports memorabilia on the walls. It's nothing crazy but it's MY space you know? Where I can go tinker on projects, have a quiet beer, listen to podcasts without anyone asking where their socks are. Took some pictures to show the wife and she actually seemed cool with it. Best 400 bucks I've spent in a while.
Having your own space to decompress is huge. I'm trying to do the same thing in my garage but it's slow going with three kids wanting my attention constantly. What does your family think about you having that retreat space? Mine keeps trying to turn it into a storage area.
The mini fridge is the move. Every man cave needs one. Did you set any ground rules with the family about when that space is off limits, or are they cool just letting you have some quiet time there?
