Finally finished my garage setup

Spent the last 6 months converting the garage into a legit workshop. Got pegboard walls, organized tool storage, good lighting, a solid workbench. First project was a simple shelf for the kids but man it felt good to actually MAKE something again instead of just maintaining stuff. Haven't done real woodworking since before the kids were born. Feels like I found a piece of myself again. Now if I can just find uninterrupted time to spend in here more than 15 minutes at a stretch.

This is what I'm talking about. Having a real workspace where you can get away and tinker is huge. I've been teaching my son how to use basic tools in our garage setup and it's become one of my favorite things we do together.

Six months is a solid timeline for something like that. Now you've got the space to actually work on projects instead of having everything scattered around. Plus your kids probably think your workshop is pretty cool now.

That's awesome man, six months of dedication pays off. My garage is still a disaster but seeing setups like yours makes me want to actually organize mine instead of just shoving stuff in corners.

Dude, a legit workshop space is the dream. With three kids I barely get five minutes of peace, but having a solid setup like that would make whatever project time I get actually productive.
