Took me like 6 months but the basement is officially done. Got a nice sectional, mounted the TV, built some shelving for my collectibles, and even got a mini fridge situation going. Ran ethernet cable down there so the gaming rig has solid connection. Wife said I can't live down here but we both know that's where I'll be watching the games this fall.
Nice man, that's a solid project. A good man cave is important for staying sane. I'd love to set something up like that but with three kids I barely have time to think about myself. Enjoy it when you can get down there.
Building stuff with your kids is great but having your own finished space is important too. You'll actually get to relax down there sometimes and that's healthy. What'd you end up going with for the TV setup?
That's awesome man. Basement project goals right there. A sectional and a mounted TV is literally all you need down there. You must feel accomplished.
Basement project done is always a win. I try to do stuff with my kids on weekends but they help for like five minutes then wander off. At least you got your space finished though, that's what matters.
Six months is dedication. I'm still working on mine. Did you do the TV mounting yourself or get someone in? That's the one thing I'm nervous about doing.

Six months well spent man. I'm still working on getting my basement to that level while keeping three kids out of it, so hats off to you for finishing.
Nice. Is it still a place where you can have the kids hang out or is it pretty strictly adults only? I've been thinking about upgrading my basement but I need to make sure it still works as a playroom slash man cave situation.
