First time kayak fishing

Rented a kayak last weekend and paddled out to a spot I've been wanting to try. Caught some decent sized bass and didn't tip over which was my main concern honestly. Thinking about getting my own kayak but my wife gave me that look so I'm playing it cool for now. Anyone else do this? Seems like a cool way to get out without needing a big boat.
