Fishing trip got rained out but worth it

Headed to the lake early morning, got maybe 2 hours in before a downpour came through. Caught nothing but honestly didn't matter. Just being away from the house, early morning quiet, coffee in the truck. Didn't even care that I was soaked. Sometimes it's not about the fish you know?

That's the spirit though. Caught nothing but you got out there and spent time on the water. Some of my best memories are from fishing trips where we didn't catch anything.

Rain or shine, being out there is what matters. Did you at least get some decent coffee in before the downpour started?

Two hours on the water beats zero hours any day. Weather's part of the adventure. Sounds like a good story to tell anyway.
