Fishing trip next month with my oldest

Planning a guys trip to go fishing with my 14 year old at his favorite spot in Canada. Just gonna be us for like 4 days, real bonding time before he gets too cool to hang with his dad. Been saving up and looking into cabins and gear. He's excited about it which is awesome since he's at that age where everything I do is embarassing. Really hoping we have good weather and actually catch some fish, even if we don't that time together will be worth it.

This is the stuff that matters. When they hit their teens they're not always pumped to hang with dad anymore so you gotta lock these trips in. What's he like to fish for up there, walleye or pike?

Canada fishing trip sounds incredible. Your kid is lucky to have a dad planning that kind of experience. Is this something he's been talking about or did you suggest it?

That's awesome man. Getting one on one time with them as they get older is precious. A guys trip to Canada sounds perfect. How many days are you planning? And is he into the actual fishing or more about spending time with his old man?
