Fishing Trip with the Boys
Finally got a chance to take my two sons on our annual fishing trip, first time in three years due to covid and life stuff. We drove out to the lake early morning, barely caught anything but that's not even the point. Just being out there with them, teaching my oldest how to cast, watching my youngest get so excited about every little tug on the line. We made camp food, told stories, my oldest actually put his phone down the whole time. Those are the days I actually live for. We're already planning next year's trip and my youngest wants to go salmon fishing somewhere bigger. This hobby keeps me sane honestly.
Three years is a long time to be away from that tradition. That must have felt really good to get back out there with them. What did you end up catching?
