Gaming PC build - need advice from the pros

I want to build a gaming pc but honestly the whole thing is kind of intimidating. I used to game a lot before kids but now I'm so out of the loop. Want something decent for like 1200 dollars that can handle newer games at good settings. I've got a few hours here and there to actually play and don't want to spend money if it's not worth it. Anyone done this recently? Is it still worth building or should I just buy a prebuilt?

Building a PC is totally doable even if you're rusty. Spend an hour on YouTube and watch a build guide, it's way less intimidating than it sounds. Plus you could even get your kids involved once you get into it.

If it says some assembly required, that's right up my alley and honestly PC builds aren't as bad as they look. Start with a good build guide and take your time, you'll be gaming again in no time.

Start with the basics and don't overthink it. Watch a few YouTube builds, grab a mid range GPU and CPU, and just take your time. It's easier than it sounds once you get started.

Don't let it intimid ate you man. It's basically adult Legos. Spend time on the CPU and GPU decision and the rest falls into place.

Gaming PC builds are great but honestly I'm too tired to game anymore. My son's basically destroyed my free time. Maybe pick this back up in like 10 years.
