Gaming setup in progress

Building out a proper PC gaming station in the spare room and my wife is already rolling her eyes. I'm not trying to spend all night gaming but I want to have a solid setup for when I do get time to unwind. After kids go to bed, that's my decompression time. I know some guys just scroll on their phone but I'd rather actually do something I enjoy. Is anyone else into gaming? What games are you guys playing and how do you balance it with family time?

How big are we talking for this setup? My wife gave me the look too when I mentioned a home gym in the garage so I get it.

The eye roll is a classic move but honestly a dedicated gaming space is smart. You're not gaming all night, you're creating a boundary between the hobby and family time. That's actually mature parenting.

Show her the productivity gains. When you have a dedicated space for something, you're actually more organized about it. Plus your wife gets uninterrupted living room time.
