Gaming With My Kid Changed Everything

My 10 year old got into gaming and instead of just letting him disappear into his room, I started playing with him. We've been grinding through some co-op games together and honestly it's become our thing. We talk about strategy, he helps me with stuff I'm stuck on, and I'm actually enjoying it way more than I expected. We're bonding over something he loves instead of me just trying to pull him away from it. My wife jokes that she barely sees us now but I think this is actually really good for our relationship. Who knew being a gamer dad was gonna be my hobby?
