Getting back into fishing after 15 years and forgot how relaxing it is
My buddy invited me to go fishing at the lake and I almost said no because I haven't done it since college. But I went and man, I forgot how chill it is just sitting there with a rod in the water not thinking about anything. We didn't even catch much but it didn't matter. I'm thinking about going again next month and maybe taking my oldest son with me when he's a bit older. Picked up some basic gear at Dick's yesterday. This might become a regular thing for me. Anyone else get back into old hobbies and remember why you loved them?
The best part about fishing is it's basically the only time my brain actually shuts up. No kids asking questions, no work emails, just you and the water. I get why you forgot how good it was.
Dude, 15 years is a long time. Did you have to relearn a lot or did it come back pretty naturally?
