Getting back into gaming but feeling guilty about screen time
Before kids I played a lot of games. Picked it back up recently since my oldest is in school and my youngest naps. Told myself I'd play for an hour in the afternoon a few times a week just for some downtime. But now I'm getting back into it hard and spent like 40 bucks on a new game. My wife made a comment about how much time I spend on it and now I feel bad. How do you guys balance hobbies like gaming with family time? Is it okay to want something just for me or should I be using that time with the kids?
Set specific times for it. Like, this is my gaming time and these are the family times. Kids understand boundaries way better than we think they do. When school's in session you've got built-in free time anyway.
