Took my oldest son out to the lake yesterday for the first time. We didn't catch much but he was so excited every time he cast out. Even caught a small bluegill and you would've thought he landed a marlin. Definitely buying better gear and going back next weekend. This might be our thing.
That's awesome man, those memories stick with them forever. My oldest still talks about the first time we went out together, even though we didn't catch anything either.

This is so cool. I took my son out fishing a few years back and he still talks about it. The catching fish part doesn't even matter as much as you think it does.
