Got back into fishing after 20 years

My dad and I used to fish all the time when I was a kid and I totally stopped doing it in my twenties. Now my oldest is old enough to go and we just spent our first weekend at the lake together. He caught a bass bigger than I did which is hilarious. Planning to make this a regular summer thing. Honestly it's just nice being outside doing something that's not about productivity or fixing stuff around the house. Just me, my kid, and the water. Might be my new favorite dad activity.

This is wholesome. Nothing beats being out on the water early in the morning when everything's quiet. Have you caught anything good yet or is it just about being out there?

That's beautiful man. Getting back into something you shared with your dad hits different when you're older. Are you planning to take your kids fishing too or is this more for you to decompress?

Twenty years is a long gap. What made you pick it back up now? I've been thinking about getting back into some of my old hobbies but it's hard to find the time with two kids.
