Grill advice needed - should I upgrade?

My current Char-Broil is dying. The bottom is starting to rust through and one burner doesn't work right. I've been looking at either fixing it or going all in on a Traeger. Wife says I'm crazy for spending that much but I do about 4-5 cookouts a month. Is it worth it or should I just grab another basic grill for like 300 bucks?

Rust through the bottom is a sign it's done. I'd go mid-range Traeger or a quality gas setup. Something that'll last another decade with minimal maintenance.

How much cooking are you actually doing though? That matters before you drop money on a fancy grill. If you're grilling 3-4 times a week, absolutely upgrade. If it's once a month, patch it.

If you're using it regularly, upgrade. A good grill is worth the investment and you'll use it constantly. I'm still rocking a Weber from like 8 years ago and it's been solid.
