Grill broke down mid-season, need advice
My 6 year old Weber started having temperature control issues. It'll spike to 500+ degrees even when I have the knob on low. Cleaned the burners and checked the regulator but no luck. Should I try to replace some parts or just bite the bullet and get a new one? I do a lot of grilling so I want something reliable. Budget around 400-600 bucks.
Dude that temp spike is dangerous. Could be a regulator issue or something with the valve. I'd honestly just replace the whole thing at this point if it's 6 years old. You use it enough to justify a new one right?
Have you tried cleaning out the burner tubes really well? Sometimes grease buildup can cause temperature problems like that. I had this exact issue and a good scrubbing fixed it.
