Grill question - gas or charcoal?

Looking to upgrade my setup this summer and I'm torn between getting a nice gas grill or going back to charcoal. I used to charcoal grill all the time and loved it but now with two kids and work I'm not sure I have the patience for it anymore. What are you guys running and what would you recommend for someone who wants good results but doesn't have tons of time?

Charcoal tastes better but gas lets you actually spend time with the kids instead of babysitting the temp. Since you've done both, maybe go gas this time and save the charcoal nostalgia for special occasions?

Gas is way more convenient when you've got kids to wrangle, honestly. I can fire up the grill in 2 minutes flat before the tournament caravan heads out on Saturday mornings.

Man, I respect the charcoal commitment but with my schedule I'd never keep up with it. Gas lets me throw some food on and not stress about it while the kids are going crazy.
