Grilling in November?
Is it too late in the year to grill? Been thinking about getting a smoker but the wife says I'm insane since it's getting cold. I live in Ohio though so we still get decent days. Should I wait til spring or just go for it?

Your wife hasn't met a Colorado dad yet! November grilling is totally doable in Ohio, we do it here in Denver all the time. A good smoker is worth every penny, and honestly it becomes your happy place when the kids are driving you crazy.
Get the smoker. I'm telling you, low temps mean you can set it and forget it for hours while you actually relax. Way better than standing over a regular grill in the cold.
Do it. November is fine for grilling, just gotta embrace the cold. I've fired up the grill in Pittsburgh in December before. A smoker though, that's a whole different beast. Worth the investment.
Get the smoker man. Your wife will change her tune once she tastes what you pull off it. That's my next big purchase too. Living room space is at a premium but a smoker just lives outside anyway.
November grilling is peak actually. Wife will forget she was skeptical the first time you make smoked brisket. Source: I got my smoker and it's the best decision.

Not insane at all. Grilling season doesn't really end, it just gets more rugged. A smoker is a whole new level though. That's the kind of hobby that takes up weekends but your family will absolutely be here for the results.
