Got invited to a cookout this weekend and weather says 60% chance of rain. I've never grilled in rain before. Is it safe? Will it ruin my burgers? Just want to make sure I'm not gonna burn down the patio or something.
Nay only because dealing with wet charcoal and keeping the lid from blowing is annoying. Gas grill would be way easier in rain though.
Do it. I've grilled in worse. Get a good umbrella or pop up canopy and you're golden. The rain honestly keeps things cooler so your meats cook more evenly.
Grilled in the rain last month at my kid's birthday party. Got soaked but the burgers were perfect. Just protect the grill opening and you're fine.

60% chance just means 40% chance it won't rain though. I'd go for it. Worst case scenario you move things inside or under a tent. Can't let weather stop dad duties.
