Got the new smoker set up in the backyard yesterday. Doing a 12 hour brisket run this weekend and the family has no idea. Invited some neighbors over too. There's something about smoking meat that just makes life make sense you know?

This is the kind of hobby that actually gives you something delicious to show for it. Way better than some of the stuff I waste time on.

A 12 hour brisket is no joke. Are you wrapping it or going naked the whole way? I'm jealous of anyone with the time and patience for a proper smoke.

New smoker energy is real. Just got mine last year and I'm still experimenting with temps and wood types. What kind of smoker did you go with?
