Been prepping my smoker all week. New grates, cleaned out the ash, got my rubs ready and I'm planning a big cookout this weekend. Invited some neighbors over, gonna do brisket, ribs, and some chicken. These summer months are the best when you can just fire up the grill and not worry about snow. Anyone else get that excited about grilling season or is it just me?
Now that's the stuff. Getting the smoker dialed in is half the fun. Your neighbors are lucky, smoked food beats store bought everything.
The prep work you're putting in now is going to make the whole season better. Respect the process. New grates make a difference too.
Nothing beats smoked meat on a Saturday. I've been eyeing new rubs myself. What's your go to? I rotate between a few but always looking for something new.
Grilling season is the best season. There's something about having a hobby that also produces food for the family. My kids will actually eat vegetables if I grill them.
