Just fired up the smoker for the first time this year. Doing a 12 hour brisket and I could not be more excited. Got my playlist ready, couple cold ones waiting, and the whole day ahead of me. This is what being a dad is really about.
That's what I'm talking about. Nothing beats firing up the smoker on a nice day. I try to do at least one brisket a month when the weather cooperates.
Dude, 12 hour brisket is no joke. I tried that last summer and fell asleep by hour 8, woke up to my wife yelling at me about the temperature. Hope your playlist keeps you awake longer than mine did.
Cold ones and low and slow, that's the way. My kids actually got interested in the smoking process this year which was unexpected but awesome.
12 hours is the way. I did a brisket last month and just sat out there the whole time with a beer and podcast. Best day I've had in months honestly.

Grilling season is the best season. Nothing beats throwing something on the smoker and having an excuse to just be outside and not do anything else.
