Grilling season is officially open at our house

Got the smoker running for the first time this year today. Made a brisket that took like 14 hours but dude it was so worth it. Kids actually asked for seconds which basically never happens. This is my favorite time of year. Anyone else use their smoker year round or is it just a summer thing for you guys?

That's awesome! Nothing beats when you nail a cook and the kids actually want seconds. We're still working on getting our crew to eat anything that doesn't come from a box, so you're winning.

14 hours is commitment! With four boys here I'd never get that kind of peace and quiet to tend a smoker, but man do I respect the hustle. Bet those kids wolfing down brisket made it all worth it.
