Got the smoker fired up yesterday at 6am and pulled some ribs off at noon. Kids said they were the best ribs ever (they werent but I'll take it lol). Weather finally warming up so time to dust off the grill and get serious about Sunday cookouts.
Nothing wrong with that! If the kids say they're the best, they're the best in my book. Firing up at 6am and pulling meat at noon is peak dad energy right there.
Grilling season is the best season. The fact that you've got the kids involved and excited about what's coming off that smoker is worth way more than perfect ribs anyway.
6am smoker start is the way. My kids are now at the age where they actually want to help me prep stuff and watch the whole process. Those ribs sound incredible. What rub did you use?
Nice. I've been meaning to get into smoking but with three kids and work it feels impossible to find the time. How long did the whole process take from start to finish? Asking because I have maybe 4 hour windows on weekends.

This is it. This is the good stuff right here. Getting them to say the food is good hits different when you've been up since dawn making it happen. Grilling season is the best season for that reason.
