Grilling setup recommendations?

I'm looking to upgrade my grill situation this spring. Currently have a beat up charcoal grill that's probably 15 years old. Want something that can handle gas and maybe some smoking capability. Budget is probably 800-1200 bucks. Anyone have recommendations for brands that aren't garbage? Looking for something that will last me a while.

After 15 years you definitely earned an upgrade. I'd say go for something you can actually fix yourself down the road, saves headaches.

Can't go wrong with a solid setup for feeding the crew. We use ours constantly with three kids and it's worth the investment.

This is the dream right here. With a toddler who doesn't sleep I'm out there grilling at weird hours just to have some peace. Upgrade it.
