Spent way too much money. Wife is mad. But holy crap the performance difference from my laptop is insane. Been playing through Baldur's Gate 3 on high settings and just staring at how good everything looks. The wife walked by and said 'you're literally just standing in a field looking at grass' and she's not wrong but the grass looks incredible. Worth every penny.

Haha yeah the jump from laptop to a real PC is insane. How long until she forgets she's mad and watches you play? Mine softened up once she saw how much I actually use mine.
The performance difference is no joke though. Gaming on a laptop is basically torture. Your wife will come around, especially when you explain you'll actually have time for other stuff since games won't take forever to load.
