Just got my welding certification

Been taking classes for about 6 months now and finally passed everything. It's honestly been the best thing I've done for my mental health in a while. Just being out in the garage making stuff, learning a new skill, having something tangible at the end of the day. Already working on my first real project which is a custom metal sign for above the garage door. Can't recommend getting a new hobby enough.

6 months of classes and you stuck with it. A lot of people try stuff like that and quit. Props for actually finishing and getting certified. That takes discipline.

This is the kind of hobby that actually has practical applications around the house too. My neighbor built a custom gate after getting certified.

My buddy just started welding classes too and he's already talking about making stuff for his garage. The welding community seems super supportive from what he tells me.
