My oldest asked if we could go fishing together and I realized I haven't done it since before he was born. Picked up some basic gear last week and we went to the local pond. Caught some bluegill and he was so excited every time we got a bite. It's giving me an excuse to get outside more and honestly I forgot how peaceful it is. Already planning our next trip.
This is the stuff that matters. Getting back into fishing with him will probably change your whole week every time you go.
15 years is a long break. There's something special about picking up an old hobby and doing it with your kid instead of alone. Those memories are gold.

This is beautiful. My oldest is 8 now and I wish I'd done this earlier. Going back to an old hobby because your kid wants to share it with you is pretty special.
