Just installed a projector and sound system in the basement. Wife said I could have the space as long as I keep it organized and don't let it become a total disaster zone. Already watching all the games down there this season. Added some comfortable seating and a mini fridge. This is my happy place.
That's awesome man, congrats on getting the space. The key is keeping that agreement with your wife or you'll lose it - I learned the hard way that 'organized' gets inspected more than I thought it would.
Nice setup! Just make sure those house rules stick or it becomes everyone's hangout spot real quick. Nothing wrong with having your place but you gotta defend the boundaries you set.
What projector did you end up going with? I've been looking at getting one for movie nights with the kids.
