I've got a corner of the basement that's finally mine. Got a couch, mini fridge, and a 55 inch tv mounted. Still needs some work though. What are some essentials I'm missing? Thinking about getting a dart board and maybe a small table for board games with the guys. What would you add?
You've got the essentials down. I'd say add a side table for your coffee or whatever you're drinking, and maybe some wall art or posters to make it feel less like a storage room. Make it yours.
Nice setup! I'd throw in some string lights or a lamp that doesn't feel too bright, makes it way more inviting than the basement fluorescents. That couch is gonna be your happy place real quick.
55 inch is solid. Are you planning on a sound system or just using the TV speakers? I added a decent soundbar and it made the whole thing feel way less barebones.

Nice setup start. The mini fridge and TV are mandatory. Pro tip though, add some good lighting and maybe a small bookshelf. Transformers my basement corner into an actual escape.
The real question is whether your family respects the door being closed during your time down there. We're still working on that boundary in our house.
