Need recommendations for cordless drill

My old DeWalt finally died after like 15 years of abuse. Looking to upgrade but don't know if I should stick with DeWalt or try something else. Budget is around 300 bucks for the drill and battery combo. Mostly using it for projects around the house, some wood stuff. What's everyone running these days?

DeWalt is solid but I switched to Milwaukee because the battery system works better for me. Either way, get the kit that comes with a couple batteries because you'll definitely need backups when one dies mid-project.

I went with a Makita after my old DeWalt gave out. Happy with it so far but honestly any of the major brands are solid now. What's your budget looking like?

Fifteen years out of a tool is pretty solid. If you liked the DeWalt, no reason not to stick with them. I've had mine for maybe 5 years now with no complaints. Batteries are where the money really goes.
