Got back into collecting in the last year and I'm up to about 200 issues now. Some are raw, some are in slabs. Keeping them in my man cave but I'm worried about moisture and UV light. Should I get those acid free bags for the raw books? And what's the best way to organize without going crazy?
Welcome back to the hobby man. 200 issues is a decent respectable collection. Are you grading them or just keeping them in good condition for reading?
I store mine in a climate controlled storage unit because our basement gets damp in summer. Might be overkill but these things are expensive and I want them around in 20 years.
Boards and a proper long box setup is non-negotiable if you're at 200 and planning to keep going. Acid-free materials only or you'll regret it in 5 years.

Climate control matters way more than people think. Even in a sealed closet, temperature swings can damage books over time. Invest in humidity control if you're serious.
