So my crew and I used to do PC gaming nights pretty regular, like 2-3 times a week. Now apparently everyone's switching to PS5 because their kids want to play together or whatever. I'm not dropping that money just to play with them occasionally. Guess that era is over. Miss it actually.
Could always try crossplay games? Not sure what you guys were playing but some stuff like Halo or Fortnite let PC and console players match up. Better than nothing at least.
Yeah man that's rough. Did you try suggesting they grab a gaming PC or maybe a Steam Deck? Sometimes people don't realize how affordable it is to get into PC gaming these days. Could be a good compromise if they're not totally against it.
I feel you on this one. Lost my whole crew to PS5s last year. We still play together sometimes but it's just not the same vibe as sitting around talking while gaming together on Friday nights.
Welcome to the club nobody wanted to join. My buddies all went console and I'm just here with my gaming rig collecting dust. The worst part is they act like it's somehow better even though most games run better on PC.

This is exactly why I stopped trying to organize group gaming sessions. Consoles are just more convenient for people with kids I guess. Have you thought about just finding new gaming buddies who are still into PC? There's got to be communities for that.
