We're like 6 weeks in and I'm checking standings multiple times a day. My team is actually doing decent which is shocking because I usually have no clue what I'm doing. Anyone else find fantasy football way more fun than actually watching the games? I'm on my phone constantly making trades and reading articles.
Six weeks in you're still in honeymoon mode. Wait until week 12 when you've lost three straight and your star player gets injured. Then you'll really understand obsession. All jokes aside though, fantasy football is a solid dad hobby. Just don't let it creep into dinner time or homework help.
Man, that's awesome. I'm checking my league constantly too when I should be paying attention to work stuff. Having something that's just yours is nice when you're grinding those overtime hours.
Haha I feel you on the no clue part. Fantasy football is weirdly fun though, and if your team's actually good that just makes it better. My toddler keeps unplugging my computer so I can barely keep up with my league.
That's awesome that your team is doing well but yeah, the obsession is real. I got hooked on daily fantasy for a while and it started affecting my time with the kids. Nothing wrong with the hobby, just gotta set limits on when you check scores and make moves. Maybe designate like 30 minutes on Sunday morning and leave it at that?

Dude I've been there. Fantasy football will consume your life if you let it. I had to set some boundaries because I was checking my phone constantly during family time. Now I only check once a day, usually after the kids are asleep. Still competitive, just not letting it take over everything else.
