Thinking about getting into woodworking but the startup costs

I've been watching a ton of YouTube videos about building stuff like cutting boards and small tables. Looks really therapeutic honestly. But when I started pricing out tools and a decent workbench it got expensive fast. Like $2k+ to get started properly. Anyone here do woodworking? Is it worth the investment or should I start with something cheaper to see if I actually stick with it?

Start small and cheap! You don't need to drop a ton of money right away. A basic saw, some clamps, and measuring tape will get you going. I started the same way and it's been super rewarding.

Woodworking is awesome but yeah, startup costs sting. My advice is borrow or rent some tools first to make sure you really love it before investing. Way better than dropping cash and losing interest in a month.
