Thinking about getting into woodworking

Got some free time coming up and I want to try making something with my hands besides just grilling. Been watching YouTube videos about woodworking and it looks pretty chill. Anyone here do it? What would be a good starter project that won't break the bank? And like how much space do I actually need?

Do it. I started with just grilling too and now I'm building stuff in my backyard. There's something really satisfying about making something real with your hands instead of just cooking on it.

Start simple. YouTube has some solid beginner projects. I'm learning piano alongside my daughter so I get the appeal of picking up something new and actually getting decent at it.

Woodworking is amazing. I built a workbench with my kids this summer and it became this whole thing where they wanted to learn too. Might be a cool way to spend time with them if you have kids at that age.
